when i sleep everyone tells me that i don’t snore, i just gasp for almost every breath and it seems like i have trouble breathing. i do have asthma but it’s usually just when i do sports. i’ve tried breath right strips and they didn’t help at all. i do yawn a lot through the day and i wonder if it’s just that i have weak lungs. though one time i went to get my breath checked and the dr. told me that i have strong lungs but that was awhile over a year ago. i was just wondering if there was something that i could do to stop my “snoring” because it’s always embarrassing it i fall asleep at sleepovers and people make fun of me because of how loud i sleep. i just don’t want to fall asleep in class and get completely embarrassed at how weird my breathing sounds when i sleep. what do i do?

Answer by Ben P
My dad had a problem similar to this and they told him that the cartilage in his nose is deteriorating. It is collapsing and cutting off his air supply through his nose. snores like a train, too.

Just something to consider having checked.

That someone is me. I was told the entire flight had to listen to my “extremely loud and disturbing snoring” for 7 hours straight. A flight attendant acutally told me I did not look ladylike snoring with my mouth wide open & drooling. She said some passengers were trying things to get me to stop snoring, but she would not tell me what. What could that be & what would you do? Would you be bothered? I don’t know why anyone on the plane would be annoyed?

Question by westie: sister problems? am i being dramatic?
so my sister and i used to be pretty close. but now i feel us growing distant. it pretty much started back when she was gonna get married and she chose her best friend[who was a crappy best friend and they hadnt even talked for forever]over me for the bridesmaid. she even told me i was the bridesmaid but then the friend sent us a letter saying she was. i just felt this was a slap in the face. she told me i was too little cuz im only 13 but what do you think? and then she moved into my room cuz she needed a place to stay. she was so annoying she kept me up on school nights and threw shoes at me and femine products when i was sleeping. is this childish or what? and when i woke up i was like why would you throw a shoe at me? and she was all “I ASKED YOU NICELY TO STOP SNORING-” and i was like are you kidding me? she makes the most stupid choices too and when i try to tell her to think things thru she calls me negative and tells my mom “why would i listen to a 13 year old?” omg….

Best answer:

Answer by LOSTINTEXAS
no your not..just it’s hard to think about your own wedding at 13 and see all the stress the is involved with that..your sis is probably just acting out her frustration,as for being her bridesmaid…the was a suckie thing for her to do..maybe if you just talk nice to her about it and tell her how much it hurt you that she changed her mind without talking to you first,,she (hopefully)will do something about it or at the very least, spend some alone time with you .
good luck

Question by Cap’n One-Aye: Does your dog snore loudly?
A couple has a dog that snores.
Annoyed because she can’t sleep, the wife goes to the vet to see if he can help. The vet tells the woman to tie a ribbon around the dog’s testicles, and he will stop snoring.
“Yeah right!” she says.
A few minutes after going to bed, the dog begins snoring, as usual.. The wife tosses and turns, unable to sleep.
Muttering to herself, she goes to the closet and grabs a piece of red ribbon and ties it carefully around the dog’s testicles.
Sure enough, the dog stops snoring! The woman is amazed!
Later that night, her husband returns home drunk from being out drinking with his buddies.
He climbs into bed, falls asleep and begins snoring loudly.
The woman thinks maybe the ribbon might work on him.
So, she goes to the closet again, grabs a piece of blue ribbon and ties it around her husband’s’ testicles.
Amazingly, it also works on him, also! The woman sleeps soundly….
In the morning, the husband wakes from his drunken stupor and stumbles into the bathroom.
As he stands in front of the toilet, he glances in the mirror and sees a blue ribbon attached to his privates.
He is very confused, and as he walks back into the bedroom, he sees the red ribbon attached to his dog’s testicles..
He shakes his head and looks at the dog and whispers, “I don’t know where we were … or what we did. But, by golly, it looks like we took first and second place.

Question by GourmetStar: What are the odds of my girlfriend having a Borderline Personality?
I didn’t see her last night. The vibes from our conversation and texts were bad. I knew it would be an evening of subtle put downs, guilt trips, and unpredictable mood shifts. I can’t take hearing the “You always…”, “If you…”, or “You (whatever)…”. There was even an element of fear involved. The thought of seeing her was causing a sense of dread.

Part of the dread came from feeling like a fool/sucker for agreeing to see her again after the garbage that she’s pulled. Worshipping me one minute, tearing me down the next. Grandiose behavior, followed by feelings of worthlessness. Constant accusations of screwing other women (like, where would I even find the time, with her constantly checking in?). Always telling me that she knows I’m going to dump her, even though it wasn’t on my mind at all. Nothing being good enough, finding a fault somewhere. Telling me that all of the women I knew before her were trash, and that I will never find anyone that loves me as much as she does. Laughing at my ideas of writing a book or starting a business, saying that they are pipe dreams. Walking in front of me and cutting me off. Last minute changes of plans. Silent treatments. Not wanting to make plans. Constantly being late. “Accidentally” kicking me in the groin, on a number of occasions, when getting comfortable on different ends of the sofa. Pushing me and getting overly physical when I’m trying to relax, gripping my thumbs, where I have to exert real power to subdue her while avoiding a torn tendon. The giant red flag came a few weeks ago, in bed. I was half asleep, I guess I was snoring, and I heard her say “Stop snoring”. A few seconds passed and then I woke to a hard jab into my ribcage. It left a welt. I was so angry that I yelled at her never to do that again. She said she was asleep and didn’t know she did it. I cancelled the plans for the following day and sent her out. Oh, and that was supposed to be a romantic evening. Except we watched a movie called “Damage”, where a guy had a torrid affair with his son’s fiance. It was an intriguing film, fantastically acted, with a tragic ending. As the film rolled along, I was hearing comments like “I hope you’re learning something from this” and “All guys are the same”. By the time the movie ended, she was as frigid as a stone and angry at me. Needless to say, nothing went down in bed (until I was jabbed awake).

To me, that is not a relationship. It wasn’t like that in the beginning. It builds over time, with the good times becoming less frequent, and the bad ones beginning to dominate. The result is, the relationship is an ongoing argument, with ones very survival (as a person) is at stake. It’s more like a hostage situation than a relationship.

Answer by nette
Oh gosh, you seem to be in a really terrible state. i think that she’s feeling insecure. Try to spend more time with her and thrash things out. If she still persist, dump her I guess.

But wait, do you still love her?

Question by Sangy .: A Great Cure ????
A couple has a dog that snores. Annoyed because she can’t sleep, the wife goes to the vet to see if he can help. The vet tells the woman to tie a ribbon around the dog’s testicles and he will stop snoring. “Yeah, right,” she says.

A few minutes after going to bed, the dog begins snoring as usual. The wife tosses and turns, unable to sleep. Muttering to herself, she goes to the closet and grabs a piece of ribbon and ties it carefully around the dog’s testicles. Sure enough, the dog stops snoring. The woman is amazed!

Later that night, her husband returns home drunk from being out with his buddies. He climbs into bed, falls asleep, and begins snoring loudly. The woman thinks maybe the ribbon will work on him. So she goes to the closet again, grabs a piece of ribbon, and carefully ties it around her husband’s testicles. Amazingly, it also works on him! The woman sleeps soundly.

The next morning, the husband wakes up hung over. He stumbles into the bathroom. As he stands in front of the toilet, he glances in the mirror and sees a blue ribbon attached to his privates. He is very confused, and as he walks back into the bedroom, he sees a red ribbon attached to his dog’s testicles. He shakes his head and looks at the dog and says,”Boy, I don’t remember where we were or what we did, but, by God, we got first and second place.”
