How do you sleep through a snoring husband?
Question by Ann Katherine: How do you sleep through a snoring husband?
I have been sleeping alone for almost 6 years now because of DH’s snoring. It is so loud I can here it though a shut door with a white noise machine on. Is there a way to drown out his chainsaw snoring? I would like us to share a bed again.
Yes, we have been through 2 sleep studies, I breastfeed and don’t want a sleeping pill habit and earplugs are useless. We have tried breathing strips as well. No success.

I spent years of sleepless nights, tried ear plugs, going to sleep in another room, place, couch (could still hear it). He didn’t do anything about it, while he was the one with the problem. I just eliminated it (him). But that was just one of the reasons. If he is considerate and cares about you he does something about it.

Get the main to an ENT specialist. Some snoring can be fixed.

I take it you have tried everything from the pharmacy. The only thing you can do in this situation is to get him to see his doctor it may be a medical problem in his throat or he may be overweight, either way your doctor should be able to suggest something.

My FIL does this, you can hear him next door (we used to live next door to my in-laws), I doubt my MIL has slept well in 38 years. She takes a sleeping pill, uses ear plugs and tries to go to bed a few minutes before him in the hopes she falls asleep before he does so she is out when it starts. Hope that helps.

You will probably continue to sleep alone until HE considers getting you back in his bed a priority…. not to mention improving his own health. He may need to lose weight. He may have sleep apnea, which is treatable and can be deadly if left untreated for years. He may have allergies. Doctors can offer many options for treatment IF he is willing to keep searching and follow through on the suggestions until he finds one that works.
If one doctor cannot help, keep looking until you find one who can help. Snoring is NOT normal – and can be very harmful to his health and the health of anyone he is keeping awake.

I can just suggest you to try two well known remedies, but better he should consult a medic:
1. An homeopathic oral spray, you get faster results,it stop snoring but for a short time.
2. Use an anti snoring pillow because if your sleeping position is not correct he can correct this position with time and the snoring will stop.
See the source site for more informations also how to get risk free trials of this products and test if are effective or not without spend money,if he decide to not go to doctor.
Hope this helps !
