Question by chelsclaire: How can I help my boyfriend to stop snoring?
My 31 year ancient boyfriend snores like a pig and it is not doing our relationship any favours!

He had his nose broken a few years back which may not help but his snoring is getting louder and louder. Does anyone have any thoughts on what kind of treatments we can get from a chemist or any advice on how to quieten him down?!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
He starts sleeping on his side and sometimes rolls onto his back. I roll him over but, generally, he will snore regardless of the position he sleeps in!

He has tried the over the counter nose strips and the mouth spray. They help some but not enough. He just simply will not have surgery to stop the snoring. I simply need some sleep! Thanks.

A very simple solution you can try is the following:

When you are awakened by his snoring, simply match his snoring and the rhythm of his snoring, and then when both of you are “in sync” with his snoring, then slowly silent your snoring, and if you do this right, his snoring will follow your snoring until you will stop snoring and go back to sleep.

Another simple solution is the following:

Simply when he is snoring, whisper into his ear “you are snoring; stop snoring.” Make sure not to make it so loud that he will awake from his sleep, but audible and gentle enough for his mind to hear the thought. The thought will get through to him, yet he will not be conscious of examination it, and if it works, he should stop snoring.

Although snoring can be classified as a physiological problem, it is a result of a psychological problem, which can be caused by many factors (which I will not get into.)

tell him to close his mouth when he fall asleep, cuz the main thing when yu snore is that something in your throat vibrates when you breathe really hard……so tell him to close his mouth.
