Question by Twiggy: mouth guard – does it work for snoring?
Has anyone used a mouth guard as a solution for snoring and did it work? I want to get an thought of the “chance for success.” before begging my husband to get one. I am tired of sleeping in another room. He won’t do the cpap so please don’t suggest it. And he’s tried the nose tape and the elastic around the chin thing. (no success).

Let me know if you’ve tried the mouth guard and if it works! thanks very much .

My dad uses the Pure Sleep mouthguard (you might have seen it on tv) and it works quite well. It allows my mom (and him) to get a better night’s sleep. The largest problem for him is that it basically has to dislocate your jaw to work properly, so sometimes his jaw hurts for a even as in the morning. But once he got used to it, it works fantastic. He also tried many methods to stop his snoring including surgery and this is the best solution for him by far.

Does the Pure Sleep and other type mouth piece products that go the lower jaw forward to open the airway, do they work to stop snoring?

yes they work but there not for all you’ll just have to try it
