What should I do with my husband’s snoring problem?
Question by I have an answer !: What should I do with my husband’s snoring problem?
He doesn’t snore every night, but when he does, he drives me insane ! I move him gently and still, he doesn’t stop !!! I told him two weeks ago that it was annoying the hell out of me that I’m practically sleep deprived because of him and he said “I don’t snore” !!
Has anyone ever used those nose strips ??

Yes, I have used those nose strips. They had a great impact on my sleeping problems with my husband (which reminds me, I have to refill my night stand drawer).
Unfortunately my hubby doesn’t put those on before falling asleep he actually hates them but as soon as the first “bear snore” comes out of his mouth and nose, I stick it on his nose. Period. I had spoken to him about this and he too, said “he didn’t snore” but I recorded him and he couldn’t deny it anymore ! LOL !

nose strips can help. but just for backup if it doesn’t, you should buy earplugs just in case

I bought them for my husband to try, but like your husband ‘he doesn’t snore’ AND on top of that (he’s secretly a doctor–this I didn’t know), he told me I wasted my money cuz they don’t work………..
he won’t even try them………………BUT I have had a whole lotta people tell me that they DO work……
20 yrs with a snorer (who keeps the neighbours awake)
:)
it doesn’t get any better………..
and it doesn’t matter how he’s sleeping (side, back, stomach—he still snores………a good elbow every now and then gives me time to get back to sleep)
Good Luck

There’s nothing much you can do on your own. Confrontation and talking also cannot help. It is a medical condition only professional help can work if at all.

For some people the nose strips work and you can also get some earplugs (back-up plan). It wouldn’t hurt if he also see’s a doctor about his snoring problem (might be treatable). One other thing, try to have him sleep on his side (instead of his back).

my husbands snoring is sometimes very bad, other times…not so much. We tried the nose stips and he does not like them. I bought ear plugs and that is the best solution for me, since if I need them I have them. He knows it is bothersome and does genuinely care that it makes it hard for me to sleep sometimes. He even offere to try a couple of the over the counter remedies — one was a throat spray and one was like one of those melty strips you put in your mouth. None of those did much really.
My earplugs have actually been the best, cheapest solution. You guys need to try a few things and see what works for you both.

My husband “doesn’t snore” either! haha! But i had to record him to prove it to him… so now i make him use the nose strips and he hates them but they do work! So everytime he wakes me up with his snoring i wake him up and eventually he gets mad and wears the nose strips….. now when i wake him up he automatically puts one on! (sometimes i wake him just because i know he will put one on!)

Did you know that 38% of snorers have problems in their relationship? And, that the spouse of a snorer is more sleep deprived that the snorer themselves? Sorry, it’s amazing how much useless information you come across when trying to deal with something.
Anyway…yes we have tried the strips. They didn’t work for my husband; he said that they didn’t stick on well enough and fell off during the night. We have also tried the throat spray, the little thing that goes in your nose (it looks like a bull ring), even surgery. Wanna know how well they worked? He snores worse now then ever!
And, while I am running the risk of sounding like an infomercial…He just bought something called Pure Sleep. It looks like a plastic mouth piece. It’s only been 2 nights, but I am ready to kiss the feet of whoever came up with this thing. I hope it lasts…
Also, he really should see a doctor to rule out any serious problems.
Good luck.

hahaha sorry i know you are prob not laughing but i have one like that at home. dear lord when he starts his concert its a nightmare. there is no way i fall asleep, only after like 2hours when im already so tired that i can’t keep awake. i sometimes force him to take nose drops, it does help..try that, if not there is different stuff at pharmacy you can get for snoring
good luck

You have deeper issues then his snoring.
Be honest with yourself.
If there is nothing else wrong:
Go to sleep before him,
Put in a tape of the ocean, or music that will go well with his snoring.
OR better yet, just appreciate that snoring of his, be thankful he is alive, and that the snoring only lasts until you fall asleep.
If you really love him, and nothing else is wrong, have him start exercising, and dieting, and see a doctor to make sure he isn’t nearing a heart attack

my husband snores every night and he bugged the sh** out of me. i tried to go too sleep before him and i would wake up with his snoring. strangely though i got a night job and i only hear it 2 times a week and i missed it. i have to hear him snore in order to fall asleep .

i was going to suggest those nose strips because I have used them with some success. You breath better and snore less.
Caution, you or rather he MUST wash his face or area around the nose with soap and water to remove the oils plus dry it well or the nose strip will not work. Then he should apply it per the diagram picture in the instructions.
It wont hurt him to try it and will make his lovely wife happier. They are also not expensive either. Good luck and sweet dreams
