There are special pillows and head supports or things to preclude you from sleeping on your back.
There are also throat sprays and other techniques you can try.
It is vital to know what is causing your specific snoring in peacefulness to know how to cure it.

Your body may adjust to them over time. But usually the problem isn’t really in your nose it is mot likely in your jaw and throat. I have sleep apnea and have been using a machine for a couple of years trying different facial fittings…some worked better than others but none really did the trick. I finally stopped using the machine and bought a Mandibular device. It forces your bottom jaw to go slightly forward and suppresses your tongue a small bit. Anyways…I have had fantastic success with it. I can’t remember where I got it but I found one very similar to it at http://www.UniVarious.com

alcohol and smoking doesnt help..alcohol cos it relaxes some part of the throat so makes it hard to breath, and possibly taken up yoga cos it helps better breathing excercises on the lungs
